Random things about me:
I live in Ottawa with my husband.
I have been creating with textiles since I graduated from Fashion Design in 1984.
I love colour. I love texture.
My favourite colour is the transitional inky blue tinged with pink that appears at twilight.
I don’t like unsewing unless I’m really excited about the outcome (unsewing because of error or just bad sewing irks me).
I worked in a quilt shop where I learned to quilt, got to play with colour all day.
I’m terrible at math but I can figure out fabric yardage for a king size quilt with two borders.
I taught myself how to make stamps from fun foam and cardboard, and how to make printing screens out of curtain sheers and stretcher bars.
I have a bad habit trying out a new painting technique which covers my hands in paint while not using gloves right before a fancy dinner date.
